Catch Up!!!

Record Store Day madness ran wild on the blog last week (click here to read the various interviews, articles etc.) so a couple of announcements nearly fell the cracks so here is a bit of a round-up on some of the music gossip from the past seven days.

Camden Crawl Dublin

A number of acts have been added to the ever expanding inaugural Camden Crawl which is set to take over our capital city come May 11th and 12th. Young Wonder, Yeh Deadlies, Hush War Cry, Dublin Gospel Choir and more will join the likes of Clock Opera, Fionn Regan, And So I Watch You From Afar across 15 venues. The organisers of the urban festival are currently looking for volunteers to help out as stewards for the weekend, receiving free day passes in return.

The Hundred In The Hands

Eleanore Everdell and Jason Friedman aka The Hundred In The Hands release new single ‘Keep It Low’ on 25th May, ahead of the release of Red Night, the New York-based duo’s second album. The single is available to download for free via their official site below.

Daughter sign to 4AD

London-based trio Daughter are the latest act to sign with legendary and influential independent record label 4AD. As a result, a debut album is in the works with the band’s first couple of EPs – His Young Heart and The Wild Youth – displaying serious potential. Watch this space.

Additions to last GoodCop BadCop gig

Local bands Terriers and The Maori John Wayne have been added to an impressive line-up that will see Darragh McGrath’s run of GoodCop BadCop-promoted Cork shows come to an end as he heads off to greener pastures in North America.

Forbidden Fruit

Liars, Real Estate and Chromatics have been added to the already outstanding line-up set to shake up the grounds of Kilmainham come the June bank holiday weekend.
