Bon Iver in The O2
Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon |
Bon Iver are set to return to Ireland just over a year after their last visit.
October 2011 saw the Justin Vernon-led folk-alt-rockers wow all nerdy enough to nab a crazy quick-sell ticket for The Grand Canal Theatre. More ears will be set to swoon this time around as they switch to Dublin’s O2 for their November visit.
From barely selling out The National Stadium and Tripod in ’08 to a big tent in Galway in ’09 to The Grand Canal in ’11 last year to now- playing the biggest indoor capacity venue in Ireland which fist just under 15,000, they may be merely dots on a stage next time around. As the O2 priority tickets sold out at 9.30am this morning in just minutes, it’s perhaps time to admit their indie status already has a tear in the seams.
– Bon Iver play The O2 on Monday, 12th November
– Tickets go on sale from the usuals Friday, 22nd June at 9am
