Hello Moon & The Great Balloon Race – The Aftermath

Hello Moon in The Roundy, Friday 5th October

A huge thank you to those who braved the elements on Friday night in order to enjoy blistering sets from both The Great Balloon Race and Hello Moon. The third edition of the latest The G-Man Presents… showcases, The Roundy on Castle Street again provided the intimate surroundings for two of the country’s brightest talents to exhibit their work.

The show being a G-Man/Low Trees Promotion, it’s not really ethical for me to review the show but I still want to say I loved every second of both band’s sets with highlights including a haunting version of ‘Pockets’ with Jonathan from The Great Balloon Race‘s vocals sounding perfectly pristine and the shoulder-swaying swagger of ‘Here I Am’, possibly my favourite extract from Hello Moon‘s Only Count The Sunny Hours.
