Post-jazz listings ensure there’s no time for a breather as Grave Lanterns, Colleen, Spies and more lap it up on Leeside…
Jazz-hand friendly gloves are binned as terror masks and ghoul costumes are donned for Halloween and the following weekend down Cork way. Illustrators, bloggers and all round good guys Fractured Air host Colleen, Seti The First and Áine O’Dwyer in Christchurch on Saturday evening. For more info on that one simply click here. A race across town may be on the cards following Colleen and co. with local psych-pop guerrillas The Altered Hours set for The Pavilion. A nasty clash it may be but an early start in the Triskel may allow eager beavers to catch both so fingers crossed.
The mid-week highlight is most certainly Grave Lanterns‘s single launch in The Pavilion, with the foursome joined on the night by Galwegian punkabilly trio Rural Savage. This one’s just five bob in with a free download of ‘Creepin’ Up on You’ available here.
HEADS UP!
Limited handmade (by the wonderful Lisa Lemur) tickets for the latest G-Man Presents… show featuring Dott and French For Rabbits are now available from Plugd Records.
As if that wasn’t enough to keep y’all busy electro wunderkind Mmoths returns to Cork complete with a live brass section for a headline slot in The Pavilion on Friday evening (for a chance to win tickets see here) and Spies (The Guardian‘s pick for band of the day on Monday no less) and Neon Atlas team up for a very special Alliance Promotion show on Halloween night in The Crane Lane Theatre.
