2013: A Cork Odyssey

The musical highlights of the past 12 months down south…

It’s been a hell of a year for music in Ireland’s most southern city, with the publication of super local fanzine We Play Here summing up an eclectic twelve months in Cork. In a nod to past compilations compiled by the currently sleeping Drop-D, I thought I would put together a collection of my favourite tracks released by Cork/Cork-based bands in the annum gone by. Usually I would post an accompanying playlist but, with the hope that first-time listeners will give the whole mix a complete spin-through rather than skipping to their faves, I’ll keep the list private for a few days. I hope you enjoy all 26 tracks as much as I have putting them all together.
