Glastonbury: Sophie Ellis Bextor’s take on Jolene

Still reeling from her exhibition in how to masterfully work a stage and crowd live at the marquee less than two weeks ago in Cork, I find myself as excited to witness Dolly Parton‘s Glastonbury set as much as anyone’s. Following Kaiser Chief’s disgraceful rendition of her most famous classic (which suspiciously-but-thankfully) seems to have disappeared from the official YouTube channel), at least dancefloor murderer Sophie Ellis Bextor was able to deliver ‘Jolene’ with some subtlety and grace, recording the cover live for BBC’s Tipi.
