Having launched on Monday with stellar performances from the likes of Shookrah, MTV Crashes Cork goes into fifth gear before the big popstar-studded finale in Cork City Hall on Thursday evening. For the full details of who, where and when see here.

For a location out of the ordinary look no further than Mother Jones Flea Market for hopefully the first in a series of Friday Night Flea gatherings. North Side Drive star on Friday from 6pm at the bottom of York Hill.

Elsewhere, the gold jumpsuited slide guitar-wielding maniac – yet still somehow lovable beneath that helmet – Bob Log III returns for three dates at the turn of the month taking in De Barras of Clonakilty (28th November), Pine Lodge Myrtleville (30th November) and Crane Lane Theatre (2nd December – technically next week’s preview I know).*
