This week in Cork: The Staves, Peter Broderick, Tandem Felix, Daddy Long Legs and more.
Following a hectic bank holiday weekend it’s still full stream ahead on the live gigging front down south beginning with The Staves’ long-awaited return to Cork. The Watford sisters play Everyman Palace on Thursday evening. Read a recent interview I did with Camilla here.
Everybody’s favourite multi-instrumentalist and looper Peter Broderick is the latest to play a seaside show down in Cobh’s Sirius Arts Centre on Friday as featured on the blog last month and then Dublin quartet Tandem Felix go searching through the bric-a-brac in Mother Jones Flea Market on Saturday evening. Stay tuned for an interview with the latter later this week.
Also try catch Daddy Long Legs who recently rocked it up at Kilkenny Rhythm & Roots. “New York City’s most blueswailing trio” play The Crane Lane Theatre (Wednesday) and Myrtleville’s Pine Lodge (Thursday).
