Collection of improvised South African jazz out on Brownswood Recordings
Indaba Is is a compilation of current South African jazz artists brought together as part of a standalone collection. Released on the exceptional Brownswood Recordings label, the eight tracks of Indaba Is were selected in a collaboration with South African pianist Thandi Ntuli and The Brother Moves On’s Siyabonga Mthembu. Essentially acting as musical directors for the project, Ntuli and Mthembu’s picks for the record include trumpeter Lwanda Gogwana and the Gabi Motuba-voiced conceptual works of The Wretched.
