The 44th edition of the Cork Folk Festival kicked off last night with the premiere of Karan Casey‘s The Women, We Will Rise at The Everyman. Irish folk royalyty Sharon Shannon, Mary Coughlan, Frances Black, international players Damien O’Kane & Ron Block (Alison Krauss) and more will descend upon Cork for a full weekend of folk and traditional music.
