Celebrated Cork songwriter Cormac O’Caoimh celebrates the launch of his 4th album with a Saturday night concert in Triskel Christchurch. Shiny Silvery Things, available on the night and included as part of the €12 entry free to the concert, follows on from 2014’s critically acclaimed work, The Moon Loses Its Memory. Accompanying him on the night will be Martin Leahy with special guest Lynda Cullen opening proceedings. For those bunking out of work early, O’Caoimh will be playing an in-store session in Music Zone Douglas at 4pm on Friday.

Dominating mid-week will be the first ever industry showcase to take place down south as Music Cork rolls into town, bringing internationally experienced speakers such as Darcus Beese (president of Island Records), Sarah Desmond (VP of Universal Music UK), Geoff Meall (Head of Music UK) and more to The Clayton Hotel. The three day meet-up climaxes each night with Irish artist showcases taking place in multiple venues around the city such as Cork Opera House, Cyprus Avenue and Crane Lane.
