Cork Gig Guide: 16th May-22nd May
This week in Cork: Angel Olsen & more…
Angel Olsen plays Cork Opera House this weekend, with the Missouri singer bringing her six-piece band down south for the biggest The G-Man presents…show to date. From the alt-country ballads of Half Way Home to the searing indie of Burn Your Fire For No Witness to the pop-rock majesty of MY WOMAN, Olsen continues to morph and evolve into one of the most exciting recording and live artists of her generation. Do not miss Ought‘s Tim Darcy who performs as special guest with the Montreal songwriter sending his first solo record, Saturday Night, out into the world earlier this year. Check out the excellent Tall Glass of Water. Showtime at 8pm. Sharp. Then we’re all off to Gulpd Cafe for some dancing with Not How, When.
