Cork gig guide: 15th-21st March 2016
Transmission Club (Crane Lane, Saturday) |
This week in Cork: Transmission Club, St. Patrick’s Day celebrations and more…
The first bank holiday of the year slams straight into the centre of the week with all genres of music catered for throughout St. Patrick’s Day. From folk legends Scullion in Triskel Christchurch to JungleDuBi, a mini arts and music festival taking place in Urban Jungle, there is plenty to keep folks off the streets.
Away from the green chaos, local indie-folksters Transmission Club team up with one of Cork’s newest bands, Sillk, for an Alliance Promotion show in The Crane Lane Theatre on Saturday evening whilst fiddler-turned-elecro-whizz Daithí is in Cyprus Avenue that same night.
Also going down around town this week:
- Breathe – The Dark Side of the Moon Live in Cork Opera House (Wednesday)
- Harbouring Oceans, White Line Fever and Míde Houlihan in The Crane Lane Theatre (Friday)
