Cork gig guide: 22nd December-11th January
Lynched (22nd Live at St. Luke’s) |
This Christmas in Cork: Lynched, Mick Flannery and more.
It’s incredibly close now so I’ll make the last gig guide of 2015 a quick one. Lynched in St. Luke’s should be something special right before Christmas. For more info on that one check out a recent chat I had with Daragh Lynch for Cork’s Evening Echo here.
Le Galaxie bring the dance on the 28th so sign up to work off the selection box damage in Cyprus Avenue while local hardcore heroes Horse will be doing lots of damage to eardrums in Fred Zeppelin’s on the following night. There are a number of shows happening in the recently reopened Connolly’s of Leap including Ajo Arkestra (28th Dec) and Jófríður (New Year’s Day). Mick Flannery‘s annual New Year’s Eve show is happening again in Cork Opera House whilst Cork shoegazers Elastic Sleep shake off the party effects for a roadtrip to Myrtleville for a Pine Lodge show on 2nd.
LATE ADDITION:
Morning Veils performing their brand new debut cassette, Her Kind, live from the altar in St. Luke’s Church on 30th December.
