Cork gig guide: 6th-12th October 2015
This week in Cork: Marisa Anderson, Ron Sexsmith, IndieCork and more.
Where to start? The dust barely begins to descend upon the city following last week’s smorgasbord of shows when film festival IndieCork’s music strand kicks into life early in the week. Canadian troubadour Ron Sexsmith is in town on Wednesday to play some tunes from his expansive back catalogue. The Pav host and you can check out an interview with Ron on the blog here.
Friday presents a plethora of diverse gigs, ranging from subtle folk (Adrian Crowley in Sirius Arts Centre (Cobh) to the screamier side of things (Horse in Fred Zeppelin’s). My obvious first choice and heart-filled recommendation is Portland guitarist Marisa Anderson‘s maiden visit to Cork with special guests The Whispering Pines upstairs in Triskel.
