Déise dudes O Emperor take to Cyprus Avenue on Thursday evening for the Cork launch of new EP Lizard. Steeped in 80’s gloss, the four new tracks see the twice Choice Music Prize-nominated Cork-based group continue their musical evolution with the bulldozing beat of ‘Switchblade’ the stand-out.
On the following evening, Irish songwriter Julie Hawk returns to Cork with her band Hawk with the formidable The Great Balloon Race providing support in Cyprus Avenue with Yorkshire producer Blawan wrapping up a trio of Caroline Street shows with an appearance on Saturday night.
