Peter Broderick and The Rails
Seriously good gigs in Sirius…
The shows keep a-comin’ down in east Cork as Sirius Arts Centre unveil another two stellar bookings to keep us piling onto the Cobh train in the late weeks of Spring. Announced recently, The Rails will play Saturday 2nd May bringing their beautiful folk down south. Comprised of James Walbourne and Kami Thomspon, both have a rich musical heritage in that Walbourne is the guitarist with The Pretenders and Kami is daughter to folk royalty Richard and Linda and recently appeared on a record featuring siblings and parents alike (Family). Other Irish dates include The Workman’s Club in Dublin on 29th April and Kilkenny’s Pumphouse (Sunday 3rd May) and Cleere’s (Monday 4th May) as part of Rhythm & Roots.

The following weekend will see the wonderful Peter Broderick return to Cork for an intimate show in Cobh. I’m already imagining the sun shining across the river and in through those big old windows in Sirius as the Portland singer does his thing. That’s the 8th May.
