With a new record on the way in March, Sufjan Stevens has hinted at the tone of Carrie & Lowell by making ‘No Shade in the Shadow of the Cross’ available online. Tender and softly sung, it’s more a return to the ballads of Illinois than the digi-dance (both great in their own rights) heard on The Age of Adz. Dublin dwelling Sufjan-ites take note of the Tower Records-hosted listening party planned for Douglas Hyde Gallery on 10th March.
