Festival: Quarter Block Party

Springtime is just around the corner for Quarter…

By their creative event mgmt skills combined Cork promoters Makeshift Ensemble and Southern Hospitality Board deliverus: Quarter Block Party. Hijacking venues running along both South and North Main Streets, the 3-day jamboree will feature music, art and theatrical performances along one of Leeside’s oldest areas.

O Emperor top the bill of a dozen or so musicians set to play along the “Leeside Strip”. Also filling our ears with fresh tunes come Springtime will be Shookrah, Hags, Partisan Crowds, Roslyn Steer, Chris Power, Twinkranes, Cian Nugent, Adultrock, Women’s Christmas and more while the theatre strand of the gathering will feature John Doran‘s solo show The Centre of the Universe and Irish premieres from Will Dickie and Lucy Hutson.

Pop-up performances, strange little venues, Banter with Jim Carroll (Irish Times), Vinyl Love with Stevie G and more are just a taste of the various events set to happen from 6-8th February 2015.
