Weekly Cork Gig Guide: 9th-15th December
Little Green Cars |
This week in Cork: OOAL, Halves, Little Green Cars and more…
Cathedral-like quiet and boring-as-shit, just two descriptions of what Friday night’s Out On A Limb Records‘ 2013 Xmas bash most certainly will NOT be. To be held in The Crane Lane on Friday, the early starting shindig (doors at 8pm, first band at 8.30pm) will feature a trio of the Limerick label’s live heavyweights: Rest, Ten Past Seven and Windings. Check back later in the week for an interview with label co-head Ciarán Ryan.
The week ahead is quite a celebration and exhibition of how good our homegrown crop is these days as both Halves (Friday) and Little Green Cars (Saturday) visit the Triskel and The Pavilion (Saturday) respectively, although the latter has been sold out for a long time.
