This one’s for Yule…

Young Hearts Run Free have revealed the details of this year’s Yule gathering, an annual event where folks get to listen to lots of great music, eat cake, sup some drinks whilst simultaneously contributing towards a very good cause with all proceeds going to The Simon Community. Featuring space-rock septet The Jimmy Cake, Galwegian garage-popsters Dott, Cork-based beat-bringer Toby Kaar, the legendary Dónal Lunny and more, the whole shebang will be set in the Dublin Food Co-op in Dublin 8. Also I’m both delighted and privileged to have been asked to man the decks for a short DJ set at some stage during the night. To be honest I’m just thrilled to be going never mind involved so thank you very much YHRF! And remember, if you see a tall, scraggly, hairy fella walking about with a grin that could at any moment crack off the top of his head hard boiled egg style, there’s quite a good chance that’s me.
