New Angel session…
Apologies. It’s been over two months since the last Angel Olsen post on this blog so consider that “situation” rectified. New York public radio station WNYC’s Soundcheck recently broadcast an interview with the one-time Cairo Gang chanteuse featuring live performances of ‘Always Half Strange’ and ‘Lonely Universe’ from the extraordinary Half Way Home and the older but no less alluring ‘Some Things Cosmic’ from début EP/mini-album Strange Cacti. Accompanied by cellist Danah Olivetree, this session captures Olsen on top form – as if she ever isn’t. Stream in full below.
