In the pines, in the pines, where the sun always shines…
Cork-situated Deise quintet O Emperor rouse riotously from slumber with the release of the beguiling Vitreous, the band’s psychedelic follow-up to 2010 début Hither Thither. Joined on the night by guttural garage rockers Grave Lanterns, the Waterford fivesome commandeer the Half Moon Theatre Friday evening for the record’s official Leeside launch.
Those in the mood to hit the beach on Saturday, then look no further than Myrtleville. The annual Pile Lodge rock-a-thon welcomes Chirps, Hands Up Who Wants To Die and more for Pine For Your Loved Ones, the latest incarnation of the infamous Party In The Pines gatherings.
