New music: Jozef Van Wissem
Be careful of riotous lute-ing at Primavera this weekend…
Keep an ear out for Dutch-born Brooklyn-based minimalist composer Jozef Van Wissem if Barcelona-bound over the next few days as the lutenist once again teams up with good friend and musical accomplice (and acclaimed Hollywood director of course) Jim Jarmusch to play compositions taken from both of their albums Concerning the Entrance Into Eternity and The Mystery of Heaven. To be slightly awkward, the video below for ‘I Have So Much More to Tell You But You Can Not Bear It Now’ is taken from Spokatastasis, one of Van Wissem‘s majestically titled solo records (also see Suite the Hen’s Teeth and The Wolf Also Shall Dwell with the Lamb) and not from one of his collaborative sessions with Jarmusch but it’s just too damn beautiful to ignore.
