Midlake for Cyprus Avenue
Midlake to get cosy and intimate in Ireland this August…
Medieval folk mages Midlake later today will officially announce details of a brief-but-intimate tour of Ireland ahead of their upcoming festival dates and album release. The Texan fivesome – who folk-rocked my world with The Trials of Van Occupanther‘s release back in 2006 – are due to release the follow up to The Courage of Others and fourth full length recording later this year.
With the new release on Bella Union imminent, Midlake will play Cork’s Cyprus Avenue on Tuesday, 13th August with dates for Galway and Limerick also confirmed as Eric, Tim, McKenzie, Paul and Eric prepare for a number of festival dates later that month. Seeing as it was only three years ago that the Denton quintet were playing the 5,000 capacity Live at the Marquee – and have since picked up a prestigious Mojo Best Live Act award – tickets should fly for this one so get in there quickly for one of the gigs of the Summer.
