And if there is a better reason for independent collective Popical Island to host their latest Popicalia extravaganza than an album launch then I’ll be darned to heck. Steeped in deadly duo Michael Stevens and Ruan van Vliet’s “signature sound of trash-can drums, bashed guitar and single vocal”, Death To Lie Ins waves hello to the world this Friday becoming a FREE-for-download bandcamp release whilst physical copies will hit Irish independent stores that same weekend. Popical pals Cave Ghosts (who play The Pavilion, Cork tomorrow night) and Tuam newcomers Oh Boland join Lie Ins on 2nd February in the capital’s Anseo for official celebration #17.
