Coughlan’s Live
Coughlan’s of Cork has always housed live music but it seems there is a new revamp on the way in the shape of the aptly titled Coughlan’s Live sessions.
A concentration on Irish folkies is the key it seems with west Cork based legends Interference – fresh from their recent performance down in Liss Ard – set to play a very special afternoon show on the last day of September.
Rising local stars John Blek & The Rats play the Thursday (27th Sept) before that with word of a debut-album-on-the-brink-of-release floating about Leeside. That is certainly one to look out for. Not everything on the line-up may be folks preferred cup-of-tea but it’s great to see another regular session promoting original music up and running in the city.
Dates confirmed for the official opening weekend:
- 27th – Coughlan’s Live presents: John Blek & The Rats and Joey Ryan in Coughlans
- 29th – Coughlan’s Live presents: Mundy and Karrie in Coughlans
- 30th – Coughlan’s Live presents: Interference and Anna Mitchell in Coughlans (4pm)
- 30th – Coughlan’s Live presents: Liam O’Maonlai in Coughlans (8pm)
