Mad to dance those shiny new shoes into oblivion yet the thoughts of your run-of-the-mill shithole nightclub makes your skin crawl? Well Prohibition may be just the place for you!*
The reawakened Half Moon will house Cork’s most original (or should I say retro) nightclub to date as Prohibition, “an exciting new 1920s themed club night” is set to “transport guests back to the hedonistic atmosphere of the 1920s speakeasy with a few modern twists”. Dressing the part is encouraged with two bottles of proseco awarded for those impressing the most while live music will be provided by London’s The Shirt Tail Stompers, one of the trendiest (yes I said it) vintage jazz bands on the European circuit.
Not stopping there “bespoke 1920s Prohibition style cocktails”, electro swing DJs, secret passworded entry through the back door, “as with real speakeasies”, and good, old-fashioned hedonism will all add to the mystique of the night.
*Possibly watching Mad Men a little too often…

The winner will be announced on Tuesday, 3rd July. Closing date is 11.59pm (or 23.59) on Monday, 2nd July.
