Festival News : Forbidden Fruit additions
Friendly Fires, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble and Mmoths have been confirmed as the latest additions to the quality-laden Forbidden Fruit line-up which already features alt-country kings Wilco, indie rock mavericks Death Cab For Cutie and the inimitable golden voice of Hope Sandoval’s Mazzy Star.
St. Albans trio Friendly Fires and the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble – a nine-piece featuring eight brothers on horns – have become firm festival favourites over the years wowing at Glastonbury on a number of different occasions.
A possibly unexpected but very welcome addition is that of Jack Colleran’s Mmoths, whose electronic talents have seen the young man from Newbridge added to a bulding SQE roster that features post-hardcore legends At The Drive In. The addition also sees Ireland’s blooming original music scene well represented with Irish artists Le Galaxie, Toby Kaar, Rarely Seen Above Ground and Windings already announced for the Kilmainhain get-together.
