Cork Gig Guide Nov 14th-20th
November is usually a month for staying in and saving the shillings but if I can restrict myself to only going to three gigs this week I will be lucky.
The top two shows on my own personal list this week are one of those rare Interference live performances (The Pavilion on Wednesday) and indie Brooklynites The Antlers released Burst Apart earlier in the year. The latter will be supported by Dublin’s Little Green Cars who are seen by many bloggers, music mags etc. to be the next big Irish band and, from the few tracks I have heard so far, I tend to agree.
Late & Live returns to Cyprus later that night (Friday, Nov 18th) with Belfast’s Not Squares and Cork’s own Zombie Computer teaming up for a night of late, free (if you are in before 12.30am) electro-rock.
All this and I haven’t even mentioned Suuns in Cyprus Avenue, The Blanks in Cork Opera House and FreezerRoom’s official album launch in The Pavilion. Choice, choice, choice.
