Ryan Francesconi To Play Cork
Plugd Records and the Triskel Arts Centre have confirmed that Ryan Francesconi will play Cork in July.
The date is July 22nd and the venue of course is the Triskel’s beautiful Christ Church.
You may know Francesconi mostly for the massive imprint he left on Joanna Newsom‘s 2010 magnum opus Have One On Me with the Portland-based maestro both arranging and playing multiple instruments (credited as playing at least Bulgarian tambura, kaval, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, electric bass, banjo, mandolin and soprano recorder) on the triple-album that was many peoples album of the year for 2010.
The virtuoso released his first album, Parables, in 2010 on Drag City, featuring just a solitary acoustic guitar (recorded live with no overdubs) which is sure to fill the halls of the Christ Church when he appears in July.
