The Cork Music Show
I am delighted to say that I have recently joined The Cork Music Show team which broadcasts via Cork FM Community Radio 100.5FM and I will co-host the show with Suzy Bleu on Sunday June 26th.
The show airs between 4 and 5pm on Sundays and features music from Cork acts as well as a live interview with a local act so if you are in a Cork rock/indie/alternative band/group and have an interest in appearing on the show or simply getting your CD played please feel free to drop us a line via info@thegmanworld.com or info@corkfm.ie.
Sunday, the second show in the series, featured Triona and Jess from Bona Fide Federation, who were in the studio to talk about their new single, “Festival”, which is now available on iTunes and you can purchase “Festival” by clicking here. The girls, who both classically trained in the Cork School of Music (which is apparent in their music which is as much classical as it is pop and vice-versa), also scored 4/5 in The Cork Music Show Challenge answering questions on their selected artist : David Bowie.
Bona Fide Federation play the main stage of next weekends Sea Sessions festival which takes place in Bundoran in Co. Donegal and will also feature in Mitchelstown in August at this years Indiependance Music Festival
The reputation of The Cork Music Show Challenge, which has rightly earned the tag of “toughest quiz ever created”, took a bit of a battering from Love Street who scored 5/5 the week before when quizzed on the late great, Michael Jackson. In some ways you could say they cheated (by vocalist Sarah Reeves knowing all the answers for one) but in many ways you cannot…

nice one! Thanks so much for having us (Love Street) on the show! It was a great laugh!
We definitely didn't cheat the quiz though! Sarah is an extremist Michael Jackson enthusiast! 😉 maybe too much so…
Hope the rest of the season goes well for you!
Love,
Love Street
