New Release from The Magnetic Fields
Stephen Merritt, the songwriter/composer/vocalist/multi-instrumentalist behind The Magnetic Fields, is set to release an album of rarities aptly entitled, Obscurities.
The album will be comprised of out-takes from The Magnetic Fields albums (such as 69 Love Songs), as well as completely unreleased material including tracks that appear on the as-yet unfinished sci-fi musical The Song From Venus (a collaboration with Lemony Snicket) and other unreleased work.

Obscurities will be available on CD, LP and digital download beginning August 23. It has not yet been confirmed if the dates will differ in the U.K./Republic Of Ireland for the physical release.
