Myspace Updates

After years of Myspace membershipand subscribing to the various blogs of artists, record labels, festivals etc. the sheer volume of update emails that I receive to my inbox is getting a little silly. The solution is pretty simple : unsubscribe.

However I will take a different approach and share all the “news” with yourselves!!

So what is currently happening with bands according to their Myspace :

Wild Beasts :

Eager to spread the word of this video, filmed in east London by theInstitute For Eyes.

Other news is that Waterford/Cork band O Emperor will provide support for the English bands three Irish dates in March.

MGMT :

Announcing the news that their follow-up to the 2008 smash Oracular Spectacular is now available on pre-order. Congratulations is the title of the album set for an April 9th release in Ireland.

Mumford & Sons :

As highlighted on The G-Man Blog recently the festival announcements have raised their headds and one of the bands have of 2009 have just been added to the famous U.S. festival Bonnaroo. The June festival, held in Manchester, Tennesse will also feature sets from bands such as Kings of Leon and LCD Soundsystem.

Rough Trade Records :

The London record label are pushing Black Noise, the third album from Pantha Du Prince.

Phoenix :

What did I say about festival season??!!! Phoenix will headline the tasty Field Day festival. To be held in London on the 31st July acts will also include :
