Festival Season : Oxegen 2010

The first acts for Oxegen 2010 will be announced at lunchtime today…

Rumours are amok of Eminem, Stevie Wonder and Gorillaz but it is these rumours that result in the effect caused by most of these announcements being very under-whelming. Personally I am very interested in how far left or right this years line-up will swing with Lady Gaga the biggest draw of last year. The fact that the festival began as a Rock/Alternative outing screams a dramatic change in direction. This coupled with Festival Republic, also owned by MCD, now half owning/organising Electric Picnic means that both festivals will no longer be slugging it out over acts.

The biggest Irish festival of the Summer is back this year at Punchestown Racecourse, Naas, Co Kildare from 8th-11th July 2010.
